The Office of Historic Resources has an active volunteer internship program for graduate and undergraduate students who have a strong interest in historic preservation and urban planning. Interns will have the opportunity to become an integral part of the SurveyLA project, receive exposure to all aspects of a multi-faceted municipal historic preservation program, and provide overall support to the preservation office of the nation’s second-largest city.
Educational background in architecture, historic preservation, architectural history, urban planning, history, or other related discipline. Enthusiasm and interest in learning about historic preservation and urban planning. Strong written and oral communications skills.
